About Vi-Brent Launch Event

All arts, creative and culture workers from across Brent are warmly invited to the launch of Vi-Brent.

Vi-Brent is a three year programme funded by Arts Council England's Place Partnership programme. It aims to expand the borough’s cultural sector, enhancing opportunities for children to access arts and culture while creating new employment pathways for young people. Led by nine local organisations*, the project will also include a quarterly Vi-Brent Network meeting to further grow opportunities for the cultural community in the borough.

The Network will offer the following:

  • Free training workshops and opportunities requested by the group on topics of their choice
  • The opportunity to hear from guest speakers selected by the Network
  • An annual ‘Freelancer Marketplace’ where arts freelancers will be able to connect with arts organisations based in Brent
  • Opportunities to see creative projects in action
  • Sharing of best practice and exchanging of ideas

In this first meeting, there will be an introduction to Vi-Brent, a chance to learn about the consortium organisations and meet fellow arts leaders from across the borough.

Everyone will be able to contribute ideas to shape the Network’s upcoming programme: from discussing future guest speaker themes and topics to the training which the group would find useful. This will be an active, collaborative and dynamic network to be part of.

We kindly ask organisations to limit bookings to three places to ensure everyone has the opportunity to attend.

*The nine organisations that will lead Vi-Brent are: Punchdrunk Enrichment, Fresh Arts, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Unique Community, Mahogany Arts, Young Brent Foundation,  Garden Studios, The Awareness Tap and Brent Council
