Elizabeth Booth
Elizabeth Booth, an educator for over 40 years, led Dalmain Primary School in Lewisham as Headteacher from 2000 to 2018. She served on boards of educational charities and statutory bodies, including Teach First, Lewisham Schools Forum, and Lewisham Heads Consultative. Liz co-founded Lewisham Local Authorities Music Service and managed the London Schools Symphony Orchestra for 12 years, organising concerts and international tours e.g. in Argentina and Japan.
Since 2005, she has engaged with Punchdrunk Enrichment’s productions and hosted their first immersive project in a primary school in 2008, aimed at enhancing literacy and inspiring children. This led to many impactful projects at Dalmain, fostering both students' learning and teachers' creativity.
As a keynote speaker at Enrichment's symposium, Liz examined the company's school initiatives. After retiring in August 2018, she's supported other headteachers as a consultant. In 2019, she received an MBE for her contributions to Education and the Arts.
